The Hungarian University of Physical Education and Sport Science (TF) places a strong emphasis on sustainability and environmental protection. In line with this commitment, we are thrilled to announce a significant step toward a greener future: the planting of 100 native trees in Kápolnásnyék on November 5, 2024, as part of the university’s sustainability program. The event aims not only to support local biodiversity but also to establish lasting, sustainable values for future generations.

 

This tree-planting initiative is also a celebratory occasion, as the university marks its 100th anniversary this year. This unique milestone highlights both the institution’s historical significance and its dedication to a sustainable future. The planting of this row of trees serves as a symbolic gesture, clearly demonstrating TF’s forward-looking mission and commitment to the preservation of natural values.

 

Present at the ceremony will be Prof. Dr. Tamás Sterbenz, Rector of the University, along with Prof. Dr. h.c. Lajos Mocsai, President of the Foundation for the University of Physical Education, as well as members of the foundation’s board and other distinguished university representatives. Their attendance underscores the leadership’s shared commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

 

This event is a flagship component of the TF Sustainability Program, intended to highlight the importance of preserving our natural resources and the necessity of collective responsibility.
